“Burrata” is a delicate fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream. Mozzarella is formed into a pouch and is filled with scraps of mozzarella (Stracciatella) and cream,
giving it an unusual, soft texture and a rich, buttery flavor.

The name “Burrata” means “buttered” in Italian, and is a typical product
from Puglia, a region of southern Italy.

Storing Burrata: it should not be stored for very long, as one of the delights of Burrata
is enjoying the fresh and delicate  flavor of the cheese.  Ideally you should eat Burrata on the same day you buy it, otherwise  plan to consume it within the next 2-3 days.
